You just woke up and find yourself onboard the spaceship Aubade escaping Earth. Forever. Last thing you remember is going to bed. On Earth.

They were about halfway down the hallway on their way back to the Library when the lights suddenly flickered and the entire hallway became dark.  A short moment later the dim emergency lights came on, and yet another moment later the buzzing noise of nervous people could be heard all over.  

Stapleton took Sara's arm and said:

"Follow me," as he began making his way toward the command center hallway.  They had to pass several worried crew members and Stapleton told them to remain calm and wait for orders.  A few moments later they reached the command center, and after a security scan they were allowed in.  Sara was a bit surprised at being let in, but at this time she was pleased that it was so.  She wanted to know what was going on, and she felt so much safer here than in the dark hallway waiting for orders.

Captain Meadows and Tanaka Sirta were studying a GEOSAT visual while two other officers were operating what looked like a flock of drones.  "Magnetic storm. Thankfully we have a decent shield but it managed to knock us out.  The strongest one so far."  Sirta was facing the visual but speaking to Vince who had stopped to inspect the display.  Meadows was focusing on a mountainous area on the west coast of a vast several thousand kilometer wide liquid deposit.
